Latrine
Description
Thomas Staub
A narrow row of stones, in north-south direction to the east of a basin, probably are the groundings for a wall constructed in timber frame, which separated a small room in the north-east corner from the rest of room e. This now lost wall would also explain the necessity of two doors between room d and room e. In this small room (1.18 m x 2.15 m), the remains of the latrina of the house were discovered. It is nearly totally destroyed, only parts of the broken in floor, and a supporting arch for a wooden bench in its middle part, were visible.
