Floor
Description
Thomas Staub
In the northern part of the room, no secure floor level could be established, probably due to modern destructions (this area has been used for burning seeds and others). In the southern part of the room, the room has a pavement of cocciopesto (from the south wall up to 1.95 m distance), with a partly preserved layer of red paint. To the north of this floor, an app. 0.65 m wide stripe runs in east-west direction, covered with larger ceramic shards and mashed earth. This stripe is slightly to the south of the line of the wastewater channel from the peristyle, but could probably be the covering of its prolongation towards the back street.
