Basin

Description

Thomas Staub

In the northernmost part of this room, two further installations have been discovered. To the west, a nearly rectangular small basin was found, app. 0.70 x 0.42 m large. It was filled with lapilli down to at least 0.36 m depth; further investigations could not be undertaken because of the instability of this structure and the adjacent north wall of the room. It seems as if this basin was related to the cesspit under the floor of room d and the wall between the rooms.
