West Wall

W wall: width 3.15 m, max. preserved height 4.10 m. The wall is, up to a height of 1.80 - 2.30 m, completely covered by plaster with remains of the decorations. There above, the wall consists of lava-incertum in reddish mortar, up to a height of 2.50 - 2.70 m. Above this zone, the wall is constructed of small stone blocks, first a row of seven Sarno stone blocks (max. 0.35 x 0.25 m), then of mixed materials, mainly Sarno stone and cruma (max. 0.20 x 0.15 m).
