North Wall
Description
Thomas Staub
The wall is covered with plaster up to a height of 1.35 m and largely between 1.70 and 2.50 m. In between, the wall material is visible and shows an opus incertum with Sarno stone and lava, set into a reddish mortar. The same material is visible in the upper north-western part, whereas the eastern part above the plaster is a modern reconstruction.
