Room a
Description
Renée Forsell
The tablinum, is located in the northern part of the house and opens up in its entire width towards the atrium. Though the walls are mainly in op. incertum the S most parts of the W and E walls towards the atrium has been built in op. testaceum
A closed opening in the middle of the east wall shows that at an earlier stage there was a window looking out towards room d.
The room had a cocciopesto floor, which is mostly much destroyed. However, the western most part and a patch in the NE corner it rather well preserved.
Most of the preserved wall plaster can be found on the N wall. It is badly preserved and has no traces of pattern or colour.
