Floor

Description

Thomas Staub

The Floor of the fauces is verry damaged. During our investigations in 2009 (headed by R. Forsell) remains of a cocciopesto pavement were discovered along the south wall, in the remaining area it was destroyed. Next to the coccio-pesto area three standing tiles next to each other had been inserted into the soil, running slightly diagonal northwards towards the entrance V 1,28. These were interpreted as the sole remains of the drain leading excess water from courtyard b out to the street, where the drainage hole in on of the curbstones had been observed earlier.
