DESCRIPTION
The cocciopesto floor is poorly preserved. It has a decorative scheme including white and black tesserae. The border without design nearest to the walls: 35 cm wide. The decorative scheme in the pavement consists of circles, diameter 20 cm, of white tesserae, ca 1 x 1 cm, and the distance between the tesserae is ca 1 – 2 cm, and between each circle ca 1 cm. In the centre of each circle there is a star with one black tessera surrounded by four white tesserae. In the space between the circles there is one black tessera in the centre of each concave romb.
Wall plaster is above this cocciopesto floor, and the floor is missing in the SW corner of the room.
State of preservation
The cocciopesto floor is poorly preserved.
