West wall of taberna 24a is located between 24a and Via del Vesuvio and it has a north-south direction.
Description: The northern doorpost is made of tiles in opus testaceum. It is 0.40 m wide and extends 0.28 m from the north wall. The tiles vary in size from 20x11 cm to 19x9 cm. The thickness of the tiles is 2.5-3.5 cm and the mortar in between is 1.0-1.5 cm thick. Ten courses measure 40 cm.
The southern doorpost is made of limestone. It is 0.38 m wide, extending 0.18 m from the south wall. At the bottom there are two large limestone blocks, 0.33 and 0.57 m high. Higher up, the doorpost is made in opus incertum with limestone of varying sizes. At the height of 2.93 m there is a rectangular void, 0.24 m high, running through the entire width of the doorpost, where the lintel block, now missing, should have been.
State of preservation: The upper part is missing.
