West Wall

West wall of taberna 22 is located between taberna 22 and the sidewalk of Via del Vesuvio and has a N-S orientation.
The northern doorpost consists of three limestone blocks in opus africanum (see taberna 22, N wall).
The southern doorpost consists of a pillar built in opus testaceum. The upper courses of the pillar are restored.
The upper part of the doorposts is missing and the uppermost part of the doorposts is reinforced.
The total length of west wall is 2.92 m.
The northern doorpost is 2.0 m high.
The south doorpost is 2.34 m high, 0.40 m thick (E-W) and protrudes 0.26 m (N-S) from the south wall.
