The wall I built in opus incertum, with a majority of lava stone. Three holes, constructed or cavities, in the E wall are probably connected to some kind of ceiling construction. The beam holes in the N and S walls are in their present state almost certainly modern, making a suggestion for an alternative construction of the ceiling possible. There are no indications for a staircase or position of a ladder, neither for a door to enter the room above from another room at the 2nd floor.
