South Wall
Description
Henrik Boman
The south wall is the inner face of the façade, and such as, built completely in opus testaceum. The bricks are fairly equal in size, some longer and some in medium size. There are no obvious spoils in this wall.
Surface is even and the mortar in the joins is well preserved. The brick is not heavily weathered. In the mid-section of the wall, the mortar in the joints is well preserved and smothered out with a tool to be angled downwards.
The wall is preserved to a height of 2.45 m. The upper surface is straight and presumably modern in its appearance.
There are no traces of wall plaster or other feature constructed in relation to the wall.
